Join Safina Center Conservationist-in-Residence Hob Osterlund at the Hawaii Island Festival of Birds on October 4, 2025 at the Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo!

The festival’s goal is to encourage community members to come together and celebrate Hawaii’s native bird species and the many people working to protect them. The event features a wide array of speakers—including Hob, who will present the keynote “Holy Mōlī: Navigating Private-Public Protection for an Iconic Bird”—presentations, activities, and a silent auction.
